The NYPD/North Shore Learning Center Community Relations/Engagement program focuses on getting the police to learn and get accustomed to the ingrained culture of inner-city families.  It also helps kids who perceive the police to be adversarial to develop a level of camaraderie with them.  

Our Social Service Program focuses on the social, economic and psychological issues that affect the residents of Arlington Terrace daily. Participants seek help in applying for public assistance, rental assistance, Tax credit application assistance, and assistance with Section-8 Re-certification, Section 8 re-instatement, application for SSI/SSD or unemployment benefits, Immigration matters, family mediation, and homelessness among other social issues.
